What Ive Got.

Ive spent a long time collecting a lot of different shots. Ive even traveled all the way up the Cheltenham to collect these shots. Here is what i have so far. I have worked on the part of the speech, where he talks about how people live, and lack of things people have to survive. With this infomation, i used shots of towns, and train stations, and very english areas, as a contrast to what he is saying. The music i have used is "Dead Already" From the American Beauty soundtrack. I chose this track because of the monotinous nature of it. The idea of the same thing happening over and over, and slowly building up fits well with the themes of human development that Nelson Mandela is talking about.

Tomorow I am going to spend the day working on the text overlay that I have featured on the piece. I feel that i need much more of it, and need to think about where i have placed them

DV Cam troubles.

I am currently having troubles with my DV Cam. For one, the only one i could get my hands on is an old NTSC mini DV camera. The picture quality is pretty good, but i am having difficulty capturing the video off the tape, and onto the computer. I may have just figured this out, but I have ran out of battery... I have ordered the cable I need, so HOPEFULLY i will be able to upload it all at home. This will also give me a some time to work on my blog and my Sketch book.. I have neglected them both, as I have been away for a week. But no more..!

Music Choice.

Ive decided to have a sort of.. Building up to my advert. So what I want is for it to start with not a lot on screen, and then build up to a lot on screen. Like, I can start with no one on screen, then end up with really busy shots, with lots of people. I got this, because i heard a piece of music i know and love. It is the music to American Beauty (1999, Sam Mendes). I think this would work perfectly because its a real slow build up. I can also mess around with it on Garage band, or even pro tools, to make it build up to a climax within a minuet.

People

Nelson Mandela's speech was all about the freedom of people. About how we would learn to love one an other, and to accept people of an opposite race, or religion.

Ive had an idea to make my advert all about people. Ill start with shots of public places, when they are empty. And as the advert goes on, more and more people will enter this public place, showing an increase in life.

Ill add more to this soon, as well as a music choice.
